Launch of Methodbox: Open Access information source

Dear Colleagues,

we are excited to announce the launch of the Methodbox, an Open Access information source designed to support qualitative researchers in visualizing their work. This platform is dedicated to both the exploration and presentation of qualitative research, with a particular emphasis on qualitative geographic research:

SHORT-URL: http://bit.ly/methodbox

The Methodbox serves as a continuously expanding resource for researchers at all stages of their career, offering a unique space to explore, evaluate, and select the most appropriate visualization methods for their research processes and findings. With entries covering a wide range of visualization techniques, from Mental Maps to Story Maps and Collaborative Comic Creation, each method is detailed with its origins, notes on the respective procedures, and examples accompanied by a list of relevant literature.

This initiative is part of the “Visualisation of Qualitative Geographies”-network, funded by the German DFG, aiming at unlocking the potential of visualizations in qualitative geographical research.

We are actively seeking contributions from the scholarly community. Whether you are looking to share new perspectives on existing methods, propose ideas for future entries, or contribute as an author, we encourage your participation. To become a part of this collaborative effort, please reach out through the Methodbox’s contact form or directly at our email address below. Your insights and contributions will help make the Methodbox a more robust and comprehensive tool for all.

Warm regards,

The Methodbox-Team
